So who's the Halal Money Guy?
I'm Naeem Randhawa. By day, I'm a Sales Manager and board member at one of the SP Funds group of companies, the largest Sharia-compliant ETF provider in the United States, with over $3.4 billion in assets under management. Our funds (SPUS, SPSK, SPRE) are the real deal. No gimmicks. No questionable screening. Just proven, halal wealth-building products that I help bring to market.
But the Halal Money Guy isn't just my day job. It's the mission that ties everything together.
Before SP Funds, I spent 20+ years in management consulting at KPMG, Deloitte, and Grant Thornton, leading Fortune 1000 clients like VMware, Boeing, and FedEx through complex transformations. I also built a $50M+ Amazon eCommerce business as a top 1% Amazon seller and invest in Texas real estate. Somewhere in there I also learned to sleep.
I was also lucky enough to become an Amazon Best Selling author for my book on Muslim Entrepreneurs, which still feels a little surreal.
In 2018 and 2019, I was named one of the 500 Most Influential Muslims globally (Islamica 500) for pioneering the first halal crowdfunding platform for real estate. My mother still thinks I should have been a doctor.
I live in Dallas, Texas, with my wife and son.

When I'm not analyzing Sharia-compliant ETFs or building financial models, I'm on two wheels.
I ride motorcycles. Not just weekend loops around Dallas. I've ridden through the jungles of Malaysia, across the Maasai plains in Kenya, and through the Colorado Rockies. Long rides, no itinerary, the kind of trips where the only financial model that matters is whether you've got enough gas to make it to the next small town.
It keeps me grounded. Because here's the thing: money is a tool, not the point. The point is building a life you actually enjoy living. Halal wealth isn't just about avoiding haram. It's about building something barakah-filled, something that funds your freedom, your family, and yeah, maybe your next ride through a country you can't pronounce.
(My financial advisor says motorcycles are a terrible investment. He's not wrong. But he's also not invited on the next ride.)
Why I started this newsletter.
I've spent my entire career at the intersection of finance and faith. And the one thing I keep seeing is this:
Muslim Americans are underserved by the financial system.
We're 4 million+ strong. We're professionals, entrepreneurs, doctors, engineers. We earn well. But when it comes to investing, we're either paralyzed by confusion or settling for subpar options because nobody built the infrastructure we need.
